A Message From The President...
I am grateful and honored to have the opportunity to serve as the 72nd Brazoria County Fair President. I am very proud of this organization and thrilled to be part of its success. Each year the Brazoria County Fair Association has been able to give back over $700,000 to the youth of our county in the form of Auctions, Awards and Scholarships. This is an accomplishment that we should all be proud of.
I would like to thank the hundreds of volunteers that it takes to host this 9 day event. I commend them for their endless hours of hard work and dedication. I would also like to thank all of the corporate sponsors, small businesses, individual donors, as well as the citizens of Brazoria County who attend the fair. This support allows the Fair Association the means to put on an event like this. The combination of volunteers giving of their time and the generous financial support of the sponsors is what makes this fair a huge success.
The Brazoria County Fair Association strives to provide family entertainment for both the young and the young at heart. All ages can attend the fair and enjoy the variety of entertainment offered. From petting zoos, livestock shows, carnival rides, agricultural exhibits and art displays to the Pro Rodeo finals and BBQ Cook off. And that’s not all; we host Concerts with top name performers, jam, quilt and hobby exhibits as well as Fair and Rodeo Queen Contest plus Little Mr. and Miss and BCFA Mom Contests. Let’s not forget the special days dedicated to our Senior Citizens and our Special Children and the auctions to support our youth and their projects and many other fun events which help to make this a traditional and memorable fair.
Without our volunteers, sponsors and office staff, working all year long, going the extra mile and giving their time, talents and energies, the Brazoria County Fair would not exist. With this in mind, I have chosen the 2010 fair theme.
