Teacher’s Schedule of Events

Registration Packets due to BCSF - Monday, January 26, 2009

 

Mon 10/27–01/09        Teacher’s submit their name and email if they might have students

                                    participating in Brazoria County Science Fair.

 

Thurs 11/3 – 1/21        Students can download Brazoria County Science Fair Information Packet.  http://www.bcfa.org/sciencefair.htm

 

Tues 11/24 - 1/21        Students go online to complete their “BCSF Pre-Registration Form”

Two copies of this form will need to be printed.  One copy to be kept as a record and one to return to their science teacher. 

 

Mon 1/5-1/21              Teacher can go on line to get a name roster of all their students who

                                    have submitted a “BCSF Pre-Registration Form”.

                                    (This is in progress.)

 

Wed 1/21                    Deadline for student to turn in a completed and signed “BCSF Registration Form” to their Science Teacher.  (Student & Parent signature required and $2.00 Fee required)  Projects submitted after this date will be displayed but not judged.

 

 

Wed 1/21 – 1/23         Teacher reviews student’s “BCSF Registration Form” for correct safety protocol, parent signature, and $2.00 fee.  Teacher signs.

 

Mon 1/26                     Teacher’s packet of all student’s registration forms due to Science Fair Committee. (Forms submitted to BCFA office)

 

Tues 1/27 – 1/30          Science Fair Committee reviews forms.  Student and teacher will receive an “Approval Form” or “Revision Form” by email.

 

Thur 2/12                     Last date to resubmit Revision Online to Science Fair Committee.

 

Fri 2/13                        Final review of resubmitted “Revision Online”, student notified

 

Thur 2/19                     All Projects require “Approval Form” to be taped to the back

                                    of the display board during set up. 4: 30 – 7:30 PM

 

Fri 2/20                        Judging of projects

                                    Pre K – 6th Grade students not present

                                    7th – 12th Grade student must be present to interview

(5:00 PM– 8:00 PM)

 

Sat 2/21                       Public Review of Project (9:00 AM – 10:00 AM)

                                    Award Ceremony (10:00 AM – 11:30 AM)

                                    Pick up Project (11:30 AM – 12:30 PM)
